Herron Leadership Program

In 2007, Dudley and Joyce Herron made a gift to Morehead State University to directly support students from each of MSU's 22-county service region, with a dream of providing emerging leaders with the opportunities to further develop their skills to one day serve their communities.

In 2016, the first class of Herron Leadership Scholars, one from each service region county, began their journey at MSU. Through the Herrons' generosity, these students have not only had a financial burden alleviated, but have been given a foundation on which to build their futures. Partnered with an MSU faculty or staff mentor, the Herron leaders are given a unique MSU experience. In 2017, the latest class emerged. 

The Herrons have been able to meet with the first two classes of scholars, and Joyce especially made a tremendous impact on the benefactors of their support.

Sadly, Joyce passed away on April 2. To honor her memory, and her dedication to MSU students, you are invited to make a gift to support the Herron Leadership Scholars Program at Morehead State University.
